Documents the artist’s two-year (2015-2017) experimental site-specific art project. The project involved Chen’s visits to 168 locations set out as squares on a Google map of Greater London, and used the city as a stage and open space for the execution of Chen’s experiments.

Made for Out of the Ordinary Places (OOTO Places), an Ideas Test programme working in four areas of North Kent where commissioned artists created projects shaped by people and place. Developed to support more people to get involved in the arts, four new projects took place in Iwade, Sittingbourne, Strood and the Isle of Grain. OOTO Places explores how local residents and artists can co-create new and experimental work that reimagines and challenges perceptions of place and in turn raises wider social and political questions.

In the summer of 2006, the two artists travelled across the Pennine Way creating a choreographic pathway – a shared journey and celebration of walking as dance and dancer as traveller.
Now in paperback and with a new preface by Susan Bennett, the book explores an interdisciplinary range of topics, including: theatre and urban policy development; architecture, trauma, and memory; urban performance history; site-specific performance and urban politics; sexuality and nationality in urban performance; and environmental performance theory.
