Body Blows: Six Performances

Video documentation of an interactive talk from artists Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley and Symoné. It explored agency and spectatorship in the intersections between live art and gaming.

An online event to celebrate the launch of artist and writer Tara Fatehi Irani’s new book Mishandled Archive, published by LADA. Hosted by Rachel Mars, the event features an excerpt from Tara’s performance of Mishandled Archive with Pouya Ehsaei, a performative presentation by Diana Damian Martin, Mary Paterson, Jemima Yong, Maddy Costa and Holly Revell and special appearances by Giulia Palladini and Joe Kelleher.

Writer and academic Dominic Johnson hosts a rare UK appearance by the US (French based) artist Skip Arnold. They screened a selection of Skip’s videos and other documents, and discussed the body, duration, intervention, commitment, and documentation.

Initially called “An Invitation to Radical Tenderness”, this text has been shape-shifting alongside their artistic-pedagogic collaboration “Engaged Dis-identification”, which attempts to translate post-representational modes of engagement into embodied experiments that reconfigure the connections between reason, affect and relationality.'

“This new work ‘Care Zine’ came from conversations about our practises, realising at the heart of it we are centred on care for our communities in an ever precarious and changing world. Through zine making as self expression and a cathartic art form, we realised participants benefited from the space to make and play and that play and freedom were a great part of caring from each other."

A live art work and archive book exploring fetish, female eroticism, and symbolic violence through a spatial intervention at a KTV in Chinatown.

From the artist: This is a neurodivergently true story about neurotransgressive performance (which I call proper performance). It contains some magic green liquid and a bit of an accidental erection.

"TransMission: Sissy TV" is an exploration of the idea of trans archives. And auto-archive of the artist's body, work, costumes, props, hopes, dreams and memories accumulated over nearly three decades of creating queer work.
