Based upon the Lexicon of Tanjas Ostojić (2011-17), an interdisciplinary participatory research art project that included academic and artistic research, five creative workshops, a number of public events, one group performance, and two exhibitions involving more then 30 women.
The essays explore the broad range of poetico-philosophical questions that have long been circulating in the Cixousian universe: the self and the other, autobiographies of writing, love’s labors lost and found, sexual difference, feminism and feminine hours, the prehistory of the work of art and reading the visual arts, animal (w)rites and trans-species relations, literary theory, post-colonial theory, death and life.

The archive is now a vast global edifice, crossing cultures and forms and reaching further and further into the past. Fleeting exchanges and moments are everywhere evidenced in contemporary art’s multiple but unstable papers, artefacts and traces. But what happens to the life of art in its archival forms? What is the archive doing with performance, performers with the archive? Speakers will address the relation between artists and the archival drive, the artist’s experiences and body as a kind of living archive.
