Created in ’78 thanks to the shared interests of a group of artists and intellectuals, Group 78 has as its main aim the promotion, understanding and dissemination of contemporary art. Its activities have been twofold: the promoting art events (especially exhibitions by young artists), which is its fundamental activity, and the promotion of spectacular experimentation, performances, corporeal expression and corporeal education by means of seminars. Maria Campitelli was the curator for all of the exhibitions, which were also accompanied by international catalogues.
