The Live Art Development Agency was founded in 1999 to support the proliferation of Live Art practices and critical discourses in the UK and internationally.
Over its first ten years the Agency responded to the exciting, innovative and diverse nature of Live Art, by developing an extensive portfolio of resources, professional development initiatives and projects.
The Agency celebrated its tenth anniversary through a special series of projects including:

Legacy: Thinker in Residence Awards
Legacy is a collaboration with Tate Research to acknowledge artists who have made a lifelong contribution to Live Art, to celebrate achievements in the field, and to further the potential of performance archives. Following a national nomination process, Legacy Awards were made to Tim Etchells and Anne Bean to consider ideas around the archiving and legacy of their influential performance based practices.
