A room cluttered with bread, oven mitts, junk, crabs and you! Sit back and watch the development of Stacy Makishi’s new live performance or contribute to the making process through brainstorming, feedback and active participation.
This open rehearsal week exploring life, death and much more will culminate in the premiere, on Friday 8 October at Apples & Snakes, of Suicide For Beginners – a quirky fusion of cartoons, videos, music and performance and a deadly funny manual on how to live.
The week has been developed in partnership with Apples & Snakes and the Live Art Development Agency, a new organisation dedicated to supporting and representing new performance work in London.
Stacy Makishi is a widely acclaimed Hawaiian performance artist/poet based in London. Suicide For Beginners has been developed from a Franklin Furnace (NYC) world wide Net Cast project.
