Abrons Arts Center, New York City

A free, all day event reflecting the radical approaches to representations of disability by contemporary performance artists, particularly in the UK.

With durational performances by Noemi Lakmaier and Martin O’Brien, a live action by Aaron Williamson, provocations and debates on the cultural impact of disabled artists by UK and US practitioners, screenings of artists’ films and seminal performance documentation from recent decades, and a biblioteque of essential books and DVDs.

The NYC Edition has grown from Access All Areas, LADA’s critically acclaimed public event and publication from 2011-12, part of our ongoing Restock Rethink Reflect initiative mapping and marking the cultural impact of artists engaging with issues of identity politics in radical ways.

Full programme and booking details to be announced.
