Study Room Ambassadors: Call for Proposals

The Live Art Development Agency (LADA) invites proposals for Study Room Ambassadors to help enhance Study Room access and development.

The LADA Study Room is a free, open access research facility in Hackney Wick, London open from 10:30am to 6pm, containing over 6,500 catalogued books, DVDs, documents, journals and digital files related to Live Art theory and practice. It is used for group and individual study and research as well as talks, discussions, screenings and other curatorial programmes.

We are seeking artists, students and/or researchers who would benefit from spending time in the Study Room and who would be interested in helping LADA develop this unique resource.

Study Room Ambassadors would have unlimited out-of-hours use of the Study Room and be able to use the space for meetings and appropriate public events around their research.

In return, the Ambassadors would become Study Room key holders and be responsible for opening and closing the premises on pre-arranged dates and times outside normal LADA office opening hours. This would enable the Study Room to be available to other members of public in the evenings and weekends.

This is an unpaid opportunity. The Study Room Ambassador scheme is intended to provide space, time and other support for independent research in the Study Room. We are also interested in discussing other Study Room developments with Ambassadors depending on their interests and availabilities.

Deadline: Monday 3 August 2015
