]performance s p a c e [: prAxis –  Call Out for Participants

prAxis – THEORY & ACTION
Saturday October 18, 2014
midday to midnight
]ps[ practical studio, London (tbc)

Performance Art Faction (PAF) is a 9 month long, holistic project consisting of research labs, performances, talks, residencies & exhibitions. PAF explores the intersections of contemporary performance art, politics & society with the aim of reawakening the innate political potential of our bodies.

prAxis – THEORY & ACTION is a live & web based (via twitter & tumblr) research laboratory at the intersections of visual-performance, critical research & political action.

prAxis is an open call event facilitating artists to incorporate critical theory into their practice and practice into their theory, in order to utilise their body as a political tool for change.

The lab is a co-operation between LADA's Study Room & the ]ps[ practical studio. Across 12 hours (midday to midnight), from one hour to the next, participants alternate between textual research (curated, Study Room archive boxes) & practical experimentation (]ps[ studios).

The event is open to all and takes place Saturday October 18th 2014 between midday & midnight. Places are limited to a total of 13 for each lab and will fill up quickly.

To submit an expression of interest to participate in prAxis – THEORY & ACTION, please email [email protected] to book your slot before October 6th 2014.

For any further information check out ]performance s p a c e [ website containing information on the PAF programme and the artists involved.
