Call Out: Join Nando Messias’ table for ‘The Pink Supper’

Nando Messias is the recipient of LADA’s Library of Performing Rights Commission 2019. As part of his new performance work, The Pink Supper, taking place at Raven Row on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November, Nando is seeking participants to join him at his table:

“I have twelve seats to offer to the first twelve people to contact me who identify as being in exile.”

What are you in exile from? (a country, a town, a community?)
What has made you an exile? (political, social or ideological reasons?)
What is the home you have had to leave (whatever ‘home’ means to you) in order to live a life worth living?

The Pink Supper is my artistic response to these questions, but I want to be surrounded by others in a similar situation.

If you would like to join me, please send a short paragraph about how you relate to the above to [email protected] with the subject line “The Pink Supper guest.” Don’t write an essay: one paragraph or short voice recording will be perfect. These places are on a first come, first served basis so be in contact soon. You get a free ticket to the event, in one of the best seats in the house.

Finally—please only write if you can commit to being at Raven Row, London on 7th of November at 7.30pm.

Dress code: Wear pink… actually, wear anything you like. It’s all about being free to be your true self!”
