Announcing Cat Sheridan as LADA Co-Chair

The Board of Trustees of the Live Art Development Agency (LADA) are delighted to announce the appointment of Cat Sheridan as Co-Chair, following an open recruitment process.

Cat Sheridan says on the appointment:

Joining LADA as Co-Chair at this moment of bold reimagining feels electric. Mary’s vision, and the collective power of this brilliant organisation, signals a fearless commitment to experimentation, equity and possibility – to making space for artists and ideas that disrupt, transform and truly move our world forward.’

Cat will join Robin Deacon as Co-Chair, and they will work together through an extended period of transition prior to Robin’s term ending. We will be seeking to appoint a new Co-Chair that brings diverse skills, expertise, and experience and will reopen expressions of interest from January 2026.

Robin Deacon, Co-Chair, says:

‘I am delighted to welcome Cat Sheridan as a Trustee at LADA, and look forward to working with her as Co-Chair. I have no doubt that she will enrich our Board with her commitment, insight and expertise.’

Mary Osborn, Director, says:

‘We are beyond thrilled to have Cat join our Board, bringing hands-on experience of transformative governance. LADA will learn from Cat’s incredible work advocating for disabled artists and arts workers to unapologetically take up space in the cultural sector. Her vast national and international networks will help us to build stronger webs of support for live artists while her justice-centred approach is just what we need to pioneer the change we want to see.’
