LADA marks its 15th anniversary in 2014. We are celebrating with a series of initiatives across the year, reflecting on the seismic shifts in Live Art practices that have taken place since 1999 through the lens of the Agency and its work.
Anniversary activities include Podcast Series “15 Minutes With…”, a series of dialogues with some of the exceptional artists and thinkers we have had the pleasure of working with over the last 15 years.
Podcast #5 is with French & Mottershead and Pope & Guthrie and discusses Socially Engaged Practice and Live Art
French & Mottershead is UK artist duo Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead. Their work explores and reveals the social dynamics and narratives inherent within public and private spaces. Artist and film-makers Nina Pope and Karen Guthrie produce ambitious, innovative and challenging projects via Somewhere, their multi-disciplinary, non-profit creative organisation, as well as Pope & Guthrie.
Projects and initiatives referred to in the podcast: DIY, One to One Artist Bursaries and Study Room Guides.
