Timeline of Performance Art in Ireland
- Date
- Wednesday 19 Mar 2014
Áine Phillips is inviting members of the public to help create a timeline of Performance Art in Ireland, to be profiled through the blog What is the history of live performance art in Ireland?
The aim is to construct a public chronology of major performance events and to record the emergence of individual performance artists in Ireland since the 1970's for a new publication on the history of performance art in Ireland, edited by Áine and published by the Live Art Development Agency and Intellect Books in 2015.
For the purposes of this publication she will be focusing on performance and Live Art where the artist's body is the site for the work.
To help with the creation of this timeline you can contact Áine directly with any additions, omissions and corrections to the timeline, which will be updated regularly or post directly to the blog: What is the history of live performance art in Ireland?
