Join Joshua Sofaer in the Reading Room, Wellcome Collection, for a public conversation on Face with deathmasks enthusiast and Director of the Florence Nightingale Museum Natasha McEnroe. Josh is in residence at the Reading Room for the week of the event, exploring the resources and talking to experts and visitors.
This event is FREE and no booking is required. Simply gather in the Reading Room on Saturday 10th December at 4pm.
Joshua's performative sharing of his research into Face is also located at the Reading Room on Sunday 11th December (time tbc).
LADA has curated four week-long artist’s residencies in the Wellcome Collection’s wonderful Reading Room.
Each artist will work with a specific theme within the Reading Room, exploring the materials and resources held in the collection in relation to their own practice and research, and leading to public ‘performances’ of their findings and conversations with invited experts.
The Residents are Selina Thompson on Food, Joshua Sofaer on Face, Stacy Makishi on Faith, and Tim Bromage on Alchemy.
