There is a rich history of performance artists working with sound, noise and music, from Dada and Fluxus to Punk and Protest. For Latitude LADA has curated an exciting line up of aurally fixated artists working across the breadth of Live Art practice.
The programme includes:
The Gluts
A set by Gina Birch, Kaffe Matthews and Hayley Newman’s eco-electro/absurdo-feminist crusading girl band.
Harold Offeh’s Covers
The artist embodies images from popular culture and attempts to transform a series of classic music album covers.
Anne Bean
A founder of The Bow Gamelan Ensemble, celebrated for her work across a range of media from light and sound to performance, sculpture and drawing.
Tim Bromage
Magic, folklore, texts, songs, props and performance art combine in Tim Bromage’s strange variety shows come rituals.
Latitude is a pioneering, award-winning festival bursting full with the very best from Music and the Arts; wander from Film to Music, Comedy to Literature and Theatre to Poetry in the stunning setting of Henham Park in the Suffolk countryside. Set in fairylight-lit woods, a lake and featuring a flock of multicoloured sheep, it really is the cultural highlight of the summer festival season. Latitude 2015 takes place 16th – 19th July.
