Support Us
Your donation helps us to proactively develop and nurture the Live Art ecology in the UK and beyond, centering practitioners who challenge established conventions and norms.
We need your support to sustain and grow the Live Art Research Collection, enable practitioner-led projects like Do It Together and expand the contexts for audiences to engage with Live Art.
How can I make a donation?
As a registered charity, LADA welcomes donations of all sizes – we can make a little go a long way, and make a lot go even further.
There are three easy ways to donate:
- You can make a single or set up a recurring donation at the link below through our Charities Aid Foundation account.
- You can text LADA to 70580 to set up a recurring donation.
- We also operate a legacy giving programme that allows you to leave funds in your will to ensure Live Art practitioners will continue to receive the benefit of our resources and programmes long into the future. See below for more information.
Other ways to support LADA
You can purchase hard-to-find publications, media and limited editions, including artists’ books, zines and LADA’s own titles from the Live Art Bookshop. All proceeds are channeled directly back into LADA to support future publications, projects and opportunities.

It grows and sustains our Live Art Research Collection
As custodians and curators, LADA collects and cares for the materials that live in our Live Art Research Collection, so that present and future generations of artists and researchers can access them. We make decisions based on emerging ideas that we learn about through conversations with artists and researchers, and in dialogue with what we hold in our Collection. It is imperative to LADA that this resource remains free for individuals to access; your gift ensures equitable access to this world-leading collection.

It enables unique creative projects
We find joy in working with artists, practitioners, researchers and organisations. We are a meeting point for explorations of liveness, and for practices that have been historically excluded from traditional art contexts. We are curious about what emerges when different disciplines meet and are excited by fluidity and experimentation. Your gift creates opportunities for LADA’s communities to realise ambition.

It expands our reach and makes lasting change
We do this work because we want to create change. By change we mean a more equitable and more liveable cultural, social and political reality. We know that meaningful and sustainable change takes work, and we are committed to robust policies and strategic actions. Your gift secures LADA’s capacity to serve our communities now and into the future.

Leave a legacy gift to LADA
The artist David Hoyle encouraged everyone at LADA’s 2014 Fundraising Gala to ‘go see your solicitor and make LADA the benefactor of your will!’
In 2019 we received our first legacy gift.
‘We love the weirdness of Live Art and respect how LADA works to foster it … It’s a life force! A reason for living!’
– Charlotte Cooper, Simon Murphy and Kay Hyatt
Charlotte, Simon, and Kay – three middle-aged queers based in East London – don’t want to die anytime soon but when they are gone they hope to leave a flat, a house, and whatever savings and sundries they have to LADA. Find out more about their story.
