Are you a producer or organiser at the beginning of your career interested supporting artists making experimental performance, sound, film, video, installation, new media / digital practices or activist actions, and living in the UK or Ireland? This is your chance to be part of SPILL.
In a brand new initiative, SPILL is looking for 5 New Producers to attend the National Platform in Ipswich in 2014 and then, alongside a number of producer specific training and development opportunities, to support 10 artists/companies selected from the National Platform through a one year period of joint professional development towards the SPILL National Showcase in London in 2015.
Developed by Pacitti Company and supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation and LADA, this opportunity will investigate the landscape that exists for producing urgent and experimental work, and explore what radical re-thinking might look like in this field.
There will be a package of support for each Producer, allowing for tailored professional development, including:
Travel, accommodation and a bumper pass to see work at SPILL 2014 and 2015
A £500 honorarium for the year from November 2014 to 2015
A travel contribution for the year’s activities
Training opportunities including: sessions from guest experts, mentorship from Pacitti Company and LADA, individual surgeries and salons
Introductions to national and international networks
Opportunities for peer review
Access to the LADA Study Room and study boxes, for research and consultation with the LADA team
Deadline: Noon Monday 4th August 2014. To find out more, and to apply, download the information pack, here.
