Current Projects and Initiatives

Call for proposals for the Floating Cinema – The Agency is collaborating with The Floating Cinema to commission a new site-specific performance or live event to take place in the week of 29 July 2013. Deadline for proposals 28 May 2013.

New Agency Publications –  While You Are With Us Here Tonight by Tim Etchells and Throwing the Body Into The Fight, a portrait of Raimund Hoghe, edited by Mary Kate Connolly.

Restock, Rethink, Reflect Three: Live Art and feminism – continuing a series of initiatives mapping and marking issues around Live Art and identity politics.

Residency Programmes – including Legacy: Thinker In Residence (with Tate Research) and new books and DVDs by Legacy artists Anne Bean and Tim Etchells.

Getting It Out There – a free 40 page publication exploring the future of touring for contemporary theatre and Live Art, now available for download. Published by Live at LICA and Live Art UK.

Performance Matters – announcing AHRC Follow On Funding Award for Crossovers, a DVD series of artists’ films, documentaries and dialogues.

Publishing news – the Agency is pleased to announce two publishing partnerships with Intellect Books and Oberon Books, including a new series of Live Art books, Intellect Live.

M21: From the Medieval to the 21st Century – Live Art interventions in Much Wenlock. now available to buy on Unbound.

Unpacked – the Agency goes international with programmes and bespoke screenings drawn from its Documentation Bank.

Performing Rights – an ongoing programme of events, including The Library of Performing Rights housed in the Study Room.

Live Art Publications – publishing initiatives by the Agency.

Life Lecture – a free online resource by Joshua Sofaer.

The Many Headed Monster by Joshua Sofaer – lecture text is now available in Spanish.

Unbound – new publications/dvds available for mail order; and the Agency’s Patrons recommend book and DVD titles: Patrons’ Picks.

Live Culture at Tate Modern, March 2003 – documentation of the Symposium now available on-line.

In Time: A Collection of Live Art Case Studies – a new publication resource for artists, promoters and others working in the sector.

The Performance Pack – Hire Copy a kit for a lecture-based performance exploring performance.

Live Art UK – the national network of Live Art promoters.

 

Past Projects and Initiatives

Temporary? – An event on ethics, performance and oil sponsorship in collaboration with Platform and Liberate Tate.

Raimund Hoghe & Tim Etchells publications launch at SPILL – this special event to mark two new publications from the Agency included presentations by Tim and Raimund, and contributions from Mary Kate Connolly and Lois Keidan.

SPILL National Platform – Five days of experimental theatre, Live Art, performance and more, including the SPILL National Platform produced in association with the Agency.

Performance Matters – a three year creative research project rethinking why performance matters in collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London, and University of Roehampton.

Artist's on-demand DVDs – Three honorariums of £300 each to support the production of three new artists' DVDs.
