Live Art Unpacked is a new initiative that extends the Live Art Development Agency’s work into a diversity of international contexts, and furthers collaborations with partner organisations and artists.

The Live Art Development Agency is an impressive, idiosyncratic example of what a small organisation can achieve as collaborator, conduit and cultivator.

There are two elements to Live Art Unpacked: A Live Art Flat Pack and the Live Art Development Agency in Residence.

A Live Art Flat Pack

The Live Art Development Agency offers A Live Art Flat Pack, a menu of elements to introduce Live Art in the UK.

A Live Art Flat Pack is designed to meet the needs of international festivals, venues, universities and cultural development agencies to support their engagement with the possibilities of Live Art, and to further understandings of Live Art practices in the UK.

Elements of A Live Art Flat Pack can be presented independently or in combination.  Presentations of A Live Art Flat Pack can work well as stand-alone events or as part of a broader programme.

A Live Art Flat Pack is made up of:
•Illustrated Lectures.
•Live Art Screening programmes.
•Unbound Demonstrations.
Bonus:

•The Performance Pack.

The Live Art Development Agency produces A Live Art Flat Pack as a low carbon international even through presentations of The Performance Pack by local artists, illustrated lectures presented via video/internet conferencing, and screening programmes dispatched on dvds.

A Live Art Flatpack offers a pick 'n'mix approach to Live Art in the UK without Agency staff needing to be there. Talk to the Agency about your needs and the most appropriate components will be picked, packed and delivered for easy re-assembly.

The Live Art Development Agency in Residence

The Live Art Development Agency in Residence has been developed in response to the numerous artists and organisers who have said "I wish we had something like the Live Art Development Agency where I came from." Well, now they can. 

In collaboration with partners who will work closely on the ground, the Agency will literally set up shop in host cities and run a number of our services and schemes for local artists. 

Residencies could be composed of a menu of events including:
•A mini DIY scheme.
•An Everything You Wanted To Know about Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask day with local experts.
•One on one artist’s surgeries.
•Live Art Screening programmes.
•Unbound demonstration.
•The Performance Pack.
•Selected publications and dvds from the Agency’s Study Room.
•Lectures for Higher Education Institutions.
