Led by the Live Art Advisory Network (LAAN), Talking Shop is a free event for recent graduates and early career artists (up to three years making work) working in the areas of Live Art and interdisciplinary performance practices offering advice, information, networking, and discussions.

There will be 15-minute long one-to-one advice sessions for artists who want to discuss their practice with an advisor, small group sessions looking at ways in which peer to peer models can help you maintain your practice, screenings of the Everything You Still Wanted to Know About Live Art But Were Afraid To Ask DVD, and an open discussion with all attendees. There will also be material to take away and opportunities to meet with other artists.

Places for the one-to-one sessions can be reserved in advance by emailing lindsey@artsadmin.co.uk or you can just turn up on the night.

We advise everyone to come prepared with a sense of what you want to talk about so you can get the most out of your session.

We also recommend that everyone downloads a copy of LAAN’s Frequently Asked Questions, Top Tips and Useful Lists, as many of your questions might already be answered there.

This event is free. Places for one-to-one advisory sessions are limited.

One-to-one sessions, small group sessions and screenings 18.00-20.00, open discussion from 20.00.
