Live Art Development Agency

The Live Art Development Agency offers Resources, Professional Development Initiatives, and Projects for the support and development of Live Art practices and critical discourses in the UK and internationally.

The Agency works strategically, in partnership, and in consultation with artists and organisations in the cultural sector.

Current news, events and activities

• New Agency Website – We are currently working on the development of a new website which will include a hugely enhanced Resources section providing online access to a range of materials. The new site will be launched in early Summer 2013. 
• DIY 10 – professional development projects BY artists FOR artists, in collaboration with partners across the UK. Call for participants now announced.
• New Agency Publications – While You Are With Us Here Tonight by Tim Etchells; Throwing the Body Into The Fight, a portrait of Raimund Hoghe, edited by Mary Kate Connolly; and Dear Stranger, I love you: the ethics of community in Rajni Shah Projects' Glorious.
• Call for proposals for the Floating Cinema – proposal deadline has passed. Selected project will be announced soon.
• Performance Matters – announcing AHRC Follow On Funding Award for Crossovers, a DVD series of artists’ films, documentaries and dialogues.
• Arts Council England Award – a new consortium comprising Artsadmin, Home Live Art and Live Art Development Agency to receive ACE award as part of the Catalyst Arts scheme.
  
• Residency Programmes – including Legacy: Thinker In Residence (with Tate Research) and new books and DVDs by Legacy artists Anne Bean and Tim Etchells.
• Getting It Out There – a free 40 page publication exploring the future of touring for contemporary theatre and Live Art, now available for download. Published by Live at LICA and Live Art UK.
• New Study Room Guide – Jane Trowell of Platform's Take The Money and Run Study Room Guide now available to buy on Unbound in printed version.
• Restock, Rethink, Reflect Three: Live Art and feminism – continuing a series of initiatives mapping and marking issues around Live Art and identity politics.

• Talking Shop – open advice sessions and networking opportunities.
• Unpacked – the Agency goes international with programmes and bespoke screenings drawn from its Documentation Bank.
• The Library of Performing Rights – a unique collection of resources housed in the Study Room.
  
• Life Lecture – a free online resource by Joshua Sofaer.
• The Many Headed Monster by Joshua Sofaer – lecture text also available in Spanish.
