About the space

LADA is housed at the Garrett Centre, a former Unitarian mission in Bethnal Green.

The space hosts the desks of LADA’s staff as well as LADA’s extensive collection of research materials, which include books, DVDs, videotapes, magazines, journals and digital files.

LADA’s space consists of a hall, a kitchen, two gender inclusive bathrooms and an accessible toilet. There are desks for the visitors who use our resources, with lots of space around them.

We provide a computer that can be used to browse LADA’s catalogue, but you can also use your own laptop and connect to our Wi-Fi to access the catalogueThere are DVD readers and monitors that you can use to watch the digital material. All visitors are welcome to make tea or coffee in our kitchen, and make use of our microwave, cutlery and crockery.

We welcome children in the space and caregivers with prams and buggies, but please bear in mind that there are no baby change facilities in the building.

If you have any questions about the space, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
