Patrons News: Sonia Boyce elected as a Royal Academician

It has just been announced that LADA Patron Sonia Boyce has been elected as a Royal Academician in the category of Painting.

The Royal Academy of Arts is governed by 80 Royal Academicians who are all practising artists in different fields. When a Royal Academician reaches the age of 75 they become Senior Academicians thus creating vacancies for new Members. Royal Academicians can elect Honorary RAs – artists from outside the UK – and Honorary Fellows and Honorary Members, eminent individuals from beyond the art world.

LADA established its Patrons list in 2010. This is an invited group of inspirational artists who maintain an active relationship with LADA and Unbound, lend their expertise and advice, and champion LADA’s work.
